Bad things happen to good people. And sometimes bad typography happens to good designers. I know designers who tend to think that slapping Zapfino on a design will make it look smart and classy. But really, there is absolutely no excuse for the typographic void that is Reuters.com

“Helvetica” certainly have gotten a lot of attention, and with screenings selling out in a matter of hours, it certainly has a lot to live up to. So how does it deliver?

It seems the “Ban Comic Sans”-campaign has upset the poor creator of the typeface, Vincent Connare. On his website he writes that “…if you hate it you really don’t know much about typography […] and you should get another hobby.” Now, should I?

What on earth is Avant Garde doing everywhere?! This has been going on too long! It must stop! Avant Garde is a simplistic, unimaginative solution – and when the Helvetica lovers start to say it, it’s time to listen!

Absolut Vodka is now rolling out a new concept called “100 Absolutes”. Basically, it's a questionnaire which asks you what your favorite [insert anything from gay icon to restroom] is. And right now, Times is everyone’s favorite typeface.

For quite some time, I've wanted to hit someone over the head with some sort of a virtual baton. Be it musical or whatever... However, I'm yet to be handed one myself - so here it goes - time to make one myself.
