I must say, the pope’s visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau has really made me respect him alot more. Both the pope’s speech, the way he entered the gates of the consentration camp, alone by foot - and also the great live-production of the whole thing strikes me as truly astonishing.

I all of the sudden feel really bad I wasn't able to help the young man who approached me at the train station today...

He had lost his train-pass; and was now being denied to take the last train back home.

Today, I came across a phenomenon I didn't knew existed in Norway as of yet. The phenomenon of 'deaf-silent' beggars. These are people who pose as deaf-silent, and gain on the public's pity in order to get money.
