My favorite movies

| | Comments (3)

A little while back, I asked the Stibb-man what his top three favorite movies were. My main intention of this question was really to help me decide what to buy next.

However, I never expected him to send the question in return... But as he did, I'll try to answer as best I can...

Now, I just bought 7 new DVDs, that I havn't seen yet - in addition to six others I have bought, but not yet seen - so this list may change (Finally getting to see Rosemary’s Baby, for instance) - but for now, this is the list:

No. 3: American Beauty

American BeautyOh, this is the tough one... There are so many films that could take the third place title... The Panic in Needle Park, Kingdom (Lars von Trier), LOTR, Der Untergang... However - American Beauty is one of the best movies made. Not only that - it's one of those movies I initially didn’t even want to like.

No. 2: Magnolia

MagnoliaNow, this is a movie you probably won't love fully until you've seen it a couple of times - and the first time you see it, you'll probably try to ask yourself “what is this movie really about”...

Well, Magnolia is about life. It's an intricate web of stories, all tied together; building up to a bizarre, yet completely natural climax...

No. 1: The Pianist

The PianistRoman Polanski is probably one of the greatest directors of our time - and with this film he gets to let all his moviemaking magic play out. It's the true tale of one jew during the world war 2 - told in the ever most sincere, honest and beautiful way possible. A definite must-see...

Hey, notice how all my favorites have a dark or black cover? I'll have to remember that for my next cover-design...

Og hva med Lord of the rings? Og Fear and loathing in Las Vegas?
