MS Superfancy PowerHype, Stupid Edition

Origami 'Microsoft/Samsung/Intel Ultra-Mobile Personal Computer TM' seem to be lighting little sparks in the general public; and Longhorn Microsoft Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Premium, and Windows Vista Ultimate will not be able run on Intel-macs.

I'm glad i switched.

With Origami, Microsoft did some things right. They tried to hype the product. First by leaking releasing the Origami Minisite; and then by leaking releasing the the commercial.

Microsoft in short hyped the product invíta Minérva. Let's face it. Apple can do it (Though noone can make people enthusiastic over a $99 iPod case..) Microsoft can't.

What is Origami really? The way I see it, it's not small enough to fit in my pocket; so It's not practical in a way that my Palm is. Besides, I can do more with it, so I guess it could take the place of my iBook?

Well, no. Powerful as it may be; I hardly doubt I'd be able to do much Photoshop-work on it. Or if I were a Windows based gamer - any gaming...

OK, so it's a tablet, then? Well, yes, butt it's not a tablet you can do any serious work on.

It's not a palmtop, it's not a laptop, it's not a desktop; where on earth will you keep the thing?! Oh, I can tell you were to put it, Bill... Ehm...

From now on, Microsoft, let the big boys handle the marketing, will you?

It’s basically a thing in-between the cell phone and the PDA, then, isn’t it? Perfect for the segment that demands a big cell phone that can’t make calls and doesn’t fit in a pocket.

Brilliant. Way to go.
