Numbers of the day
During the last 24 hours; I've learned that North Sea oil output (which fuels most of the Norwegian economy) has declined by 20% over the last four years.
And that 53% of AlJazeera's online readers believe it's wrong to boicott Danish goods over the recent cartoon row.

Got a link to that Al Jazeera survey?
The ‘AlJazeera’-link in the text actually leads directly to that survey; but for clearity, here it is again:

A few other links I think more of the parties in that issue should look at is these:
http://english.aljazeera.ne…
and
http://www.sorrynorwaydenma…
Those two numbers say so much, but they seem so simple. I think the entire Muhammed cartoon controversy has been stretched into simply a diplomatic battle rather than a simple advocation of free speech. The fact that all of these extremist leaders and Muslims with poisoned visions of the West are rioting and killing is causing the downfall of European-Middle East relations as we know it. Not to mention the trade boycotts happening all over the Muslim world.
But there is a bright side! The Sorry Norway Denmark page is so poignantly touching that it warrants an entry on my blog. ; )
And here’s another link!
