Ma.gnolia: First thoughts

| | Comments (0)

First thought; well, well, well... Punctation marks in the URL. How creative...

Ma.gnolia is just like del.icio.us; only sexier. Shaun Inman pulled it off with Mint; has Happy Cog made it with Ma.gnolia?

If you don't know what del.icio.us is: It's a service that let's you save your bookmarks on the web, instead of on your computer. It also allows others to see, and even subscribe to your bookmarks.

Now. I don't use del.icio.us per se, simply because I simply don't like the GUI, and because I'm already quite happy with the system I've got here on twisted, with the Linkblog.

Now, while del.icio.us was pretty much beaten to death with the ugly-stick; Ma.gnolia is actually pretty slick (Wow! That rhymes! It's almost an haiku...)

Now, Ma.gnolia isn't the most beautiful thing in the world, in my opinion, and it still has some bugs in it. But I do like the way you post your bookmarks, and del.icio.us-bookmarks can be imported as well, and bookmarks from most browsers..

Now, the only thing to consider is if it's worth ditching the good ol' linkblog.

What do you think?
