Blog Review Checklist
Ok, so in good company, with amongst others Joshua, I'm going to complete the Successful Blog's Blog Review Checklist...
- What words would your readers use to describe your blog? Boring, crazytalk, a**wipe, sucky...
- What do they like best about your site? When they get mentioned..?
- What is the purpose of your blog? Minimizing psychiatrist-costs...
- Is the purpose stated plainly where readers can see it?Sort of... My alibi purposes are...
- How well does your blog meet that purpose? Not by a long-shot...
- How well does the content support the purpose?Not at all.
- Is the content readable, interesting,accurate, entertaining and appropriate for your audience? It's made up of letters, so yes, it's readable - no to the rest.
- How well does the look of the blog communicate the kind of blog it is? Like a large, Ugandian hair-monkey...
- Is navigation easy and intuitive? Well, bu of course...
- Do items flow naturally from the first to the next? Well, they're positioned below eachother...
- Do the color palette, image, and type choices support the content or call attention away from it? Would that be a bad thing? Concidering my content...
- Do you post on a consistent schedule the information readers came to find? I'm quite able to predict when my next post will be - but anyone else? Probably not..
- Do your posts reflect the unique purpose and style of your blog? Do they offer variety and interest within your blog’s purpose and theme?...And that's so hiiiiigh above me...
- Do you read and respond to comments to form a sense of community? It's not like I have anything better to do...
- Consider which posts get most comments and which get none. How does that effect the topics that you’re posting on? Not at all - I tend to think my readers are fucking loosers who doesn't comment at my hard work... ;)
- Have you checked lately to see whether and how fast your blog loads in other browsers? If you can't keep up, you're too slow! That's my rule!
- Have you overdone the use of plug-ins and gadgets, making the experience more confusing than fun? What gadgets? Rubicks Cube?
- Is your writing clear and respectful of your readers? They havn't earned my respect...
- Have you established a writing voice that lets readers know who you really are? They cannot know who I am... I work undercover...
- Is the blog essentially free of errors in grammar, usage, spelling, and punctuation? Hell, no!
- Have you set up your categories to draw readers into your backlist? What's wrong with reading everything? You know, when I was young...
- Do you feature “Golden Oldies” that new readers would have interest in? I'm frickin' 17 years old... How old and goldy can you get?!
- Do you name your Categories things that readers can understand? No, I like to keep things in Gaelic
- What are you doing to let readers know that you are here? Are you listed in the right directories? Do you read and comment on other blogs within your readership? I tend to send out spam, pretending to be beastiality-porn. And I like to leave my URL in all the S/M forums I visit...
