Well, it didn't take me long to f**k up...
Most of my icons are gone! That's the short of it.
Folder icons and some other icons are no longer visible. The space where my icons used to be are not clickable, though when I select the file/folder, the background shade appears.
The problem is consistent throughout OS X - Folder sidebar, Desktop, List- Icon and Detailed View of Finder are all affected...
This probably isn't a Tiger-specific problem, as I noted someone having the same problem on Panther (but I'm not interested in subscribing to some lame support forum to find the solution)
Repairing permissions did not work.
UPDATE: I'm trying a clean Tiger install - I hate to do so, because that means I'll have to hack up my Safari Once more to get rid of that ugly Brushed Metal-skin... Well, well - that Install-program spend an awful lot of time 'verifying destination volume'...
