Outfoxed: Fair And Balanced
I'm just done watching “Outfoxed”. We're actually going to see this film later on in school, but the entire concept of Fox News is so extremely ludicrous, that I couldn't contain myself - and I can absolutely stand a rerun of this movie later on.FOX News appeals to me in the same way the Norwegian right-wing extremist political party, Fremskrittspartiet,...
... does. They are both so extremely out of touch with what I regard as the reality, that it just becomes silly...
The fact that over 60% of FOX News-viewers believe that the US Governments war on Iraq is connected to AlQaida, in contradict to the 17% that doesn't watch FOX should prove my point. Other factors pointed out in the movie is that a large percentage of the FOX audience believe that the US Government had found WMDs in Iraq (where on earth did they get that idea from) and not least that the outside world have a positive image of the United States...
Well, personally I would like to have FOX News. I think it could provide a great deal of humor to my life... I have great fun watching the clip where the anchor lashes out at the studio guest for question the amount of money spent on George W. Bush's 2nd inauguration...
I'll be doing a further study on international right and left-angled news coverage - looking into both Norwegian and international media shortly...
