Opera 8.5 Free
Well, well, well... Opera joins the gang.., the gang of free web browsers that is... It's quite a long time since Microsoft gave up on having it's users pay for services rendered, and Netscape - well, lets just say they went to the extremes with becoming an open-source project at the birth of Firefox.
And by the way - you'll be looking at the very first JorgenArnor.com Podcast in a matter of very short time...

Well - more on the 'Arnor Show' ;) later - now back to the point - Opera:
The v8.5 looks good - though I can't really see how it's going to compete on the mac platform, though.... First of all, Opera uses funny shortkeys - Cmd+N for a new tab f.x. Well, that's more than logical on Windows (ok, 'more than logical' was a completely daft expression, but you get the meaning....) but on a mac, it just isn't going to catch any new users from the FF and Safari-user pool.
I just pressed the wrong button and went from writing this article, to something completely different, branded with the Opera-logo... Well, well...
If I were a Windows-user, had no experience with webdesign and just wanted a fast, costumizable browser (simply put, if I were my girlfriend) - I would probably go Norwegian, and choose Opera. However, I'm on a mac, I know that most websites look a zillion times better on FF or Safari, and I think that once you get the brushed skin off the Safari, it's closing up to perfection.
But what I would like, was to get Opera to work properly on my cellphone... ARRGH!

I can’t wait for your podcast! Always great to be able to hear your voice whenever I want! Hehe, just kidding, I’m sure it will be good :)
BTW, you’ve got to submit your podcast to iTMS! :D
Why does your PSP identify as Netscape Navigator?
And, no, I do not feel sorry for your iPod - Kai Morten, however… ;)
I’ll never get accepted to iTMS - I’ll go straight into their sencorship… I’ll be banned from ever using Apple products ever again… ;)
But sure, I’ll give it a try…
